PS-GTL FIBER OPTIC TRIGGER LINK

The ultra-low jitter trigger link is designed to work in high electrical noise environments High-Energy Technology

The PS-GTL Fiber Optic Trigger Link consists of a PS-GTX transmitter, a L3PS-GTR receiver, a fiber optic cable and two wall-mount power supplies. The transmitter and  receiver are connected by the provided fiber optic cable. The L3PS-GTX transmitter requires a +4 to 25 volts trigger into 50 ohms (Ω). The L3PS-GTR receiver produces a +12-volt trigger pulse into 50Ω. This trigger link is largely immune to electrical noise in harsh pulsed power environments.
The one sigma throughput time variation, or “jitter”, of the 12-volt output is <250 ps (typical ~100 ps) using the provided fiber optic cable. The standard fiber length is 30 meters and fibers up to 200 meters are available upon request. Lengths longer than 200 meters are available on special order and should be discussed with one of our application engineers. Power supplies are included with standard version. The OEM version without power supplies is available upon request.

U450 kV RIGHT-ANGLE REMOTE TUBEHEAD

  • Compact design allows for use in confined spaces
  • Same rugged and reliable construction as the standard, straight-line 450 kV Remote Tubehead
  • Flexible mounting system allows easy adjustment of Tubehead direction.

  • The Right-Angle Tubehead is compatible with any HP or Fisica Applied Technologies, Inc. manufactured system. The Right-Angle Tubehead uses the same standard remote tubehead cable, and the same X-ray tubes as the Straight-Line Remote Tubehead.
  • The Right-Angle Remote Tubehead comes ready for use with either SF6 insulating gas (for use with older systems) or high pressure Air insulation (for use with newer or air-converted systems).

Pulserad Flash X-Ray Systems Charge Cables

These systems include 150kV, 300kV, 450kV, and 1.2MV pulsers. The X-ray tube can be mounted in the pulser or in a remote or demountable head. All control systems come in a standard 19 in. rackmount console. The X-ray pulse width (FWHM) is 70ns for 150kV pulsers, and 25ns for the 300kV, 450kV, and 1.2MV pulsers.

The advantage of X-ray tubes is that they are easily replaceable and are offered in   multiple spot sizes for increasing resolution to meet customer needs (1mm – 5mm). Both soft and hard X-ray tubes are available. User configurable, pump down heads are also available.

The Flash X-ray system uses standard X-ray film cassettes and phosphorus screens. The ScanX HC (laser spot = 50µm) and ScanX HR (laser spot =14µm) scanners can scan a 14 in. x 17 in. screen in under one minute. The scanners work with Fisica proprietaryPixelRay® digital imaging software. These events vary with target material density, penetration requirements, and source to detector distances.
