Pulsers

Advanced technology images very fast moving events difficult to capture using traditional techniques. Systems are rated at four different voltages — 150, 300, 450 and 1,000 kilovolts (1 megavolt).
Flash X-ray Systems

Users can adjust different voltages, X-ray tube types and computed radiography to capture many difficult-to-document events. These events vary with target material density, penetration requirements
and source to detector distances.

MAJOR FEATURES

These systems include 150 kV, 300 kV,
450 kV, and 1 MV pulsers. The X-ray tube
can be mounted in the pulser in a remote
or demountable head. All control systems
come in a standard 19-inch rackmount
console. The X-ray pulse full width at half
maximum (FWHM) is 70 ns for 150 kV
pulsers, and 25 ns for the 300 kV, 450 kV,
and 1 mV pulsers.

X-RAY TUBE ADVANTAGES

The X-ray tubes are easily replaceable
and are offered in multiple spot sizes for
increasing resolution to meet customer
needs (1 mm – 5 mm). Both soft and hard
X-ray tubes are available.

COMPUTED RADIOGRAPHY

The Flash X-ray system uses standard
X-ray film cassettes and phosphorus
screens. The ScanX HC (laser spot = 50
μm) and ScanX HR (laser spot = 14 μm)
scanners can scan a 14 inch by 17 inch
screen in under one minute. The scanners
work with L3Harris proprietary PixelRay®
digital imaging software.
