With over 45 years of aerospace and defense manufacturing experience, Fisica’s Randtron Antenna Systems delivers vertically integrated fabrication, finishing, and assembly. By balancing an advanced in-house infrastructure with a qualified external supply chain, we offer robust "make-or-buy" flexibility. Our production footprint is optimized for high-reliability execution, with 25% of our manufacturing floor dedicated to fabrication and 50% to precision assembly.

Precision Machine Shop

We leverage a comprehensive suite of machining tools, from manual equipment to multi-axis CNC milling and turning centers, to achieve ultra-tight tolerances and flawless repeatability. Integrated with industry-standard CAD/CAM software like Pro/ENGINEER and SURFCAM, our skilled machinists process highly sophisticated geometries and contoured apertures with exceptional quality.

Advanced Finishing & Chemical Coating

To maintain strict quality control and rapid turnaround times, Randtron houses comprehensive painting, coating, and chemical conversion lines. All in-house finishing processes are fully compliant with MIL-DTL-5541 (formerly MIL-C-5541), ensuring robust corrosion protection and electrical conductivity boundaries are met without third-party transit delays.

Specialized Composites Fabrication

 Our dedicated composites department specializes in wet lay-up processes using advanced engineering materials including fiberglass, Kevlar, and quartz across diverse resin systems. Our technicians routinely handle complex tooling and production runs, including applying specialized radar cross-section (RCS) reduction treatments to construct Low Observable (LO) test bodies for our in-house Compact Range. 

Electro-Mechanical Assembly

All critical antenna assembly operations are performed in-house within a highly controlled environment. Production consistency is driven by rigorous tooling, custom assembly fixtures, and detailed process instruction sheets.

    • Workforce Excellence: All technicians are certified to J-STD-001 soldering and strict ESD-safe practices.
    • Continuous Improvement: Active Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) programs ensure lean manufacturing efficiency and defect reduction.

Manufacturing Engineering (DFM)

Our Manufacturing Engineering team bridges the gap between design and physical reality, collaborating early in the product lifecycle with Microwave and Mechanical Engineering. By embedding Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles from the proposal phase through production, we optimize operational efficiencies, conduct rigorous make/buy economic evaluations, and ensure accurate cost estimating.

Rigorous Production Control & Scheduling

To ensure on-time delivery to primary mission timelines, we utilize a computerized, job-specific MRP system driven by the Master Production Schedule.

    • End-to-End Tracking: Every phase, from raw material acquisition to final component acceptance, is actively tracked using lead-time offsets and capacity-planning metrics.
    • Dynamic Prioritization: Daily dispatch reports and cross-functional production meetings allow us to dynamically adjust factory floor priorities to support shifting program milestones.

Quality Assurance (AS9100 / ISO 9001)

Our quality management system is fully ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified, earning supplier recognition and trust from prime defense contractors including Northrop Grumman, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin.
